Article
It is hard to deny that sometimes the risks will exceed what we can afford and cause us to give up, and such a fact leads impressionable people to believe that taking risks is a absolutely terrible thing. However, such a statement suffers from both logical and factual fallacies, and it should be examined carefully. As far as the inspiration of innovation, social future and the development of individuals are concerned, I hold the opinion that the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages.
First and foremost, undertaking risks is helpful for our innovation ,as if we hope to overcome troubles, we must try to envisage a range of ideas to deal with them. To be more specific, when we faced something harmful, most of us will attempt to change the negative situation instead of keeping the original state. In contrast, someone without taking risks will be more conservative and out of date in the final.
Furthermore, the fact that taking risks is good for our future society, indicates that taking risks is not a unacceptable choice. Take the case of the trend of renewal of Chinese ancient dynasty, which will abandon the power to fight against the invader without worry about invasion. As a result, the attack from enemies suddenly will defeat the country easily. Had it not been for nothing risky, Chinese ancient dynasty will not update frequently.
Nevertheless, a voice arises that taking risks exceed what we can bear will destroy the will and lead to a bad consequence. Ironically, the risks what we faced can’t be selected on our own wishes, they just appear and require us to deal with. Therefore, what we can do is to strengthen our competence of undertaking risks which can be trained from our experience of solving risk time and time again.
In a nutshell, I maintain that the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages. Although everyone has his own opinion and someone will oppose mine, I believe they will compromise after reading my article.

Revised version
It is often said that taking risks can be a dangerous game, and the fear of failure can prevent people from ever taking a leap of faith. However, I believe that the advantages of taking risks far outweigh the disadvantages, both in our personal and professional lives. In this essay, I will explore the reasons why I hold this opinion, supported by relevant examples and evidence.
To begin with, taking risks can lead to innovation and progress. When faced with a challenge, it is natural to seek out new and creative solutions. By taking risks and exploring new avenues, we can break free from the status quo (摆脱现状) and find new ways to tackle problems. For instance, many successful entrepreneurs have achieved great success by taking risks and starting their own businesses. These individuals were not afraid to step outside of their comfort zones and try something new, even when the odds were against them.
Moreover, taking risks can benefit society as a whole. By taking bold actions and pursuing ambitious goals, we can create positive change and push society forward. For example, many social and political movements throughout history have been driven by people who were willing to take risks and challenge the status quo. Without their courage and determination, we may never have achieved important milestones like civil rights, women’s suffrage(妇女选举权), or the end of apartheid(种族隔离制度的结束)**.
Of course, there are risks involved in taking risks. Failure, disappointment, and uncertainty are all possibilities that we must be prepared to face. However, I believe that the benefits of taking risks are worth the potential downsides. By embracing risk and cultivating a willingness to fail, we can learn from our mistakes and grow as individuals. Over time, our experiences can build resilience and make us better equipped to face future challenges.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that taking risks is essential for personal and societal growth. By stepping outside of our comfort zones, exploring new ideas, and challenging ourselves, we can achieve great things and create positive change in the world. Although there are risks involved, the rewards of taking risks far outweigh the potential downsides.
